Tunnel Rat was developed by tktk studio—a one-person shop in Brooklyn, founded by Ryan Reid.

Ry is a writer, designer, and developer who’s built bits and bobs at Figma, Spotify, Uber Eats, and Pinterest.

Tunnel Rat was created to provide New Yorkers with a free, quick, intuitive app for navigating the city. The name’s inspired by the subway’s little critters, who know the tunnels better than anyone. It was built by designer Ryan Reid of tktk studio, with an emphasis on reliability, privacy, and accessibility.
